Hey Pangolin, i couldn’t help but ask……(others can answer too)?

How long did it take you to get to your position? What type of high school did you go to? College and med. school? How stressful was the training? I was just wondering because I am kind of interested in going into medicine. I am currently in a Health Scholars oriented high school (I am a 9th grader) that is directly affiliated with Robert Wood Johnson, a trauma one hospital in New Brunswick, NJ, a rather good program. I am currently looking into becoming a surgeon, or a forensic pathologist.

But I am not completely sure. I want to be a pathologist or a surgeon because I do not want to directly interact with the patient. I am not the nurturing type of person. I end up laughing at the person’s illnesses (out of nervous energy). But still, is medicine right for me at all? I do not really like biology, I prefer physics and math, and like I said I am not a peole person.

Maybe I am just interested for the money. What other professions pay just as good as a doctor?
I am 14 year old female, if it mattered…..
